Engineering Aide
This entry level position offers a starting hourly rate range of $26.69 - $33.16 per hour and is overtime eligible. In this position, some responsibilities include:
· Observing construction sites for compliance, creating daily reports, and resolving problems.
· Perform drafting and design work.
· Interprets / produces department maps, plans, reports, and records.
· Upkeep of assigned vehicle (e.g. bringing to Public works for scheduled maintenance, cleanliness).
· Provide assistance to Engineering Department staff with inspections, phone/office coverage, permitting, and miscellaneous tasks.
Senior Engineering Aide
This sub-professional level position offers a starting hourly rate range of $30.51 - $37.23 per hour and is overtime eligible. Responsibilities are similar to the Engineering Aide description with additional tasks and experience requirements.
Staff Engineer
This position level offers a starting salary range of $68,358 - $84,850 per year and is overtime eligible. Some responsibilities of this title include:
· Prepares plans and documents for a variety of municipal projects typically involving roads, pedestrian, bicycle, recreation facilities, parking lots, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers.
· Prepares grant applications.
· Manage projects.
· Inspection and monitoring of construction and project sites for compliance, prepares field reports, reviews invoices, negotiates change orders, certifies payments, conducts field meetings, and performs other construction management duties
· Authorized representative for Engineering permits under the supervision of the Township Engineer
· Assists in review of permit applications from land use boards, site plans, subdivision plans, storm water calculations, and grading plans for compliance with Township Code, state regulations, standards, and engineering practices
· Prepare development bond estimates, determine inspection fees, monitor status of bonds, review bond reductions / releases, and perform administrative duties related to land development projects
· Assists in NJDEP MS4 storm water management and reporting
·Provide customer service to residents and the general public
Senior Staff Engineer : This position level offers a starting hourly salary range of $75,875 - $94,186 per year and is overtime eligible. Responsibilities are similar to the Staff Engineer description with additional tasks, experience requirements, and certifications.
