New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program offers many incentives to help lower your utility costs by completing energy efficiency upgrades to your home. Rebates and 0% interest loans are available to help offset costs, and make upgrading affordable. Read through some of the options below, and visit the Clean Energy Program website for full details.
Home Performance with Energy Star
What: Complete an energy audit of your home to find out how to make your home more energy efficient (e.g. insulating the attic, HVAC system upgrades)
Costs: Rebates up to $4,000 and 0% interest financing are available ($10,000/7 year and $15,000/9 year max loan terms available).
Who: The State of New Jersey has developed a database of accredited contractors to choose from, and you can search by distance from zip code, number of projects completed, etc. For ease of use, the Township has narrowed down the database to a list of contractors within 25 miles. This listing is for informational use only, and does not represent a specific Township endorsement. The contractors are listed in alphabetical order, there should not be any implications derived from their sequence.

Appliance Rebates
What: Purchase a new EnergyStar appliance (washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, etc.) and submit copies of your receipt to receive a rebate back from your utility company.
Costs: No cost; the cost is of the appliance you already purchased
Who: Any PSE&G Customer
Comfort Partners
What: An energy audit is performed, and energy efficiency measures are implemented based upon recommendations of the assessment, including efficient lighting and appliances, thermostats, insulation upgrades and more.
Costs: Free!
Who: Income eligible residents (at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines)
PSE&G Marketplace
What: Get instant rebates when purchasing smart thermostats, LED lightbulbs, “smart” power strips through the online PSE&G marketplace.
Costs: Get “smart” power strips for as little as $1, LED lightbulbs for less than $2, and programmable thermostats starting at $19!
Who: Any PSE&G customer
PSE&G Appliance Recycling
What: Get rebates ranging from $25-$50 for recycling old refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
Cost: Free pickup of your old appliance!
