Montgomery Township Arboretum, a Hidden Gem - In this first in a series of short videos about the Montgomery Township Arboretum of Native Flora, Mayor Devra Keenan notes, "The Arboretum is one of Montgomery Township's hidden gems." The video encourages township residents of all ages to walk, jog, or cycle through the accessible pathways in this beautiful 50-acre treasure adjacent to Montgomery Veterans Park on Harlingen Rd., Belle Mead, NJ. Produced by the Montgomery Shade Tree Committee with the kind assistance of filmmaker Bob Meola. Search "Monty Town" on YouTube to find more Montgomery videos!
The Montgomery Township Arboretum is a natural area that can be accessed from the lower parking lot of Montgomery Veterans Memorial Park; see the sign and cross the bridge. This lovely walking area contains a growing specimen collection of over 150 species of trees and shrubs, some quite rare, native east of the Mississippi.
