PLEASE NOTE: Sewer bills for the first half of 2024 will be due July 1, instead of June 1, due to the timing of adoption of the township sewer ordinance. Second half bills will still be due on Sept. 1.
Sewer Utility bills are paid by mail, at the tax collector’s office, or by online payment. For your convenience, an after-hours drop box for tax & sewer payments has been installed at the main entrance of the Municipal Center, 100 Skillman Road, Skillman, NJ 08558. Payments left in the drop box will be posted as of the next business day.
Sewer utilities are typically payable semiannually by June 1st and September 1st and are subject to the same rate of interest as property taxes. Interest will be charged on all payments made more than ten (10) days after the due date, which is found on the bill that is mailed to you. Bills will typically be mailed out by the end of April.

Important Note: Timing your water use may lower your sewer bill*

If you have an irrigation system please remember to avoid turning on the system before mid-April and winterize the system by mid-October. This applies to any seasonal increased water use such as pool filling or gardening. Sewer fees are calculated based on the lower of your annual water use, and your doubled winter water usage. The purpose of the “winter only” formula is to eliminate irrigation water use and other outdoor water use that do not discharge to the sewer system. Limiting your outdoor water usage to these timeframes may lower your sewer bill.
