New residents may pick-up blue carry-style round open top recycling buckets at the Montgomery Twp. Department of Public Works yard by first calling (908) 874-3144 and scheduling an appointment. The blue buckets are no longer in the Municipal Center lobby. Two buckets are free per household and your address must be provided.
Many sections of Montgomery no longer use the blue open top recycling buckets for curbside pickup. These areas are on Somerset County’s Totes on Wheels Program. If you are unsure which style of Recycling container you need, check with immediate neighbors or contact Somerset County Recycling Division at 732-469-3363.
